The last six Group meetings are about Job Search. This does not make sense. If members want to study, they need Job Search techniques after graduation, not at the beginning of their studies. Job Search commitments are very demanding and they are planned, not to teach techniques, but to get interviews and a job offer in five weeks. Does a student need this? At the beginning, a PEF applicant was asked to attend the Career Workshop before to apply for the loan. This was changed later and only a commitment to attend after graduation was required. Now, we have returned to the old requirement and I do not understand why.

I agree with Paco if we are thinking about members needing to find a full-time job before finishing their course of study. However, finding even a part-time job during educational studies can be very beneficial in starting their path toward self-reliance. Learning job search techniques could be directed toward finding an internship (aften a good way to find a job after graduation) or a part-time job instead of a full-time job. Skilled needed are the same but timing and approach toward a potential employer for an internship are different.
